"Helped me remember to trust God with each step."
"Each of the principles in Jed’s book are inspired footholds along the journey and climb of life. His words and experiences remind me that healing isn’t a race to the top—it’s a sacred, steady ascent. And healing isn’t just about fixing what’s broken—it’s about becoming. It’s about learning to rise, move, connect, and find meaning in the mess. Above all, this book has helped me remember to trust God with each step, each climb. The Sacred Ascent is a sacred companion for anyone navigating the path of healing."
- Erin Mindes
"Helped me forgive and move on."
"The part that truly hit me was about forgiveness for the sake of moving on. I have an ex friend who really did me dirty and I've been very resentful for too long. I drafted a letter and sent it off and laid down the burden. Thank you for helping me to do that."
- K. King
"This book will help you heal."
"This is a book about healing—and there’s more than one way to heal. Jed Norwood has taken something close to all of our hearts and presented it in a way that makes us think and reminds us we're not alone in our times of trial. The book reads like a workbook, inviting personal reflection and honest self-assessment. I appreciated the stories Jed shared and his blunt, straightforward approach. If you’re at a point in your life where you need truth spoken plainly, this book will help put you on the right track."
- David Sandquist
"Helped me figure out what I need to heal from."
"This book made we really stop and think about what I might still be carrying in the bottom of my pack and I need to lay down and heal from"
- Kevin Williams
"It helps you find purpose in pain."
"Jed addresses the most difficult aspects of his life with clarity and hope in one's ability and need to keep climbing. It helps find purpose in pain, compassion when hurt, and insight into and acceptance of God's plan for us."
- Kimberly Hadley
"This book came right when I needed it."
"This book came right when I needed it. I plan to re-read this over and over. The message really counts!"

"Nine Faith-Fueled Steps to Overcome Trauma, Reclaim Your Identity, and Rise Into Wholeness"
Anchoring in God provides stability, direction, and strength—our foundation when pain strikes and the first step toward true healing.
Trust opens the door to healing; honesty lets the pain speak. Together, they create space for truth, vulnerability, and transformation.
Productivity restores momentum; self-improvement fuels growth. Small, intentional steps help rebuild identity, purpose, and confidence after pain and loss.
Healing thrives in connection. Relationships offer reflection, support, and restoration—reminding us we’re not alone on the journey to wholeness.
Positivity is a choice. Choosing hope shifts perspective, renews strength, and lights the path forward even in the midst of struggle.
Legacy is living with purpose, leaving light behind. Repeat ascending reminds us healing is ongoing—a sacred, upward journey where we grow, fall, rise again, and help others do the same.
I try to seek God in all things and genuinely love life—even with all its ups and downs. I live with my wife, Stacie (she’s the love of my life), on a peaceful farm in the Ozark Mountains.
Together, we do our best to stay close and connected with all eight of our kids, navigating the beauty and chaos of a blended family. I’m definitely not a perfect parent, but I absolutely love being a dad.
I’m a creative at heart and a craftsman by nature. Working with my hands brings me so much joy. I have a real soft spot for trees, honeybees, and horses—you’ll often find me pruning fruit trees, collecting interesting pieces of wood, or checking on my hives. Beekeeping, for me, is more than a hobby—it’s truly my therapy.
I love being outdoors and working with the land. I’m always curious and love learning new things, but I also enjoy diving into old, time-tested ways of doing things.
Building, creating, and restoring things is just part of who I am—every project I take on is really about bringing a little more beauty, growth, and meaning into the world.
